VEC Give Champions a Fright!

Andy Myler (right) scored his first goal for VEC and Joey Byrne also scored to give VEC a 2-0 lead at half time against Premier Division champions Trinity Corinthians in this league game in Terenure.
Unfortunately, the visitors upped their game in the second half attacking mainly down the flanks for a deserved 4-2 win, although VEC had a golden chance to go ahead at 2-2, when Joey hit the post. Trinity's final goal only came in the 89th minute

In Division 1, VEC came from behind twice with goals from Robbie McGrane (left) to draw 2-2 with Aston Village in Terenure.

VEC 3rds suffered a disappointing 2-3 loss to Sportslink 3rds in their Division 3A game in Santry. With a number of regulars missing, it fell to Pete Morrissey and Rory O'Dwyer to score VEC's goals.
