3 VEC Teams Move into 2nd Place
in their League Tables

Goals from Stephen Van Loon, Joey Byrne and Brian Ward ensured that VEC beat Premier Division contenders Orchard Celtic 3-0 in Terenure to move into 2nd place in the table. Darragh McGinley was on top form in the VEC goal, denying the visitors on a number of occasions.

VEC 2nds also won 3-0 against Claremont Rangers, with Alan Scullion scoring twice and Alan O'Byrne scoring one as they also crept into 2nd place in Division 2.

Not to be outdone, VEC 3rds looked like also winning 3-0 against Allenton Utd. in Dodder Park, when Johnny Byrne scored their third, but the home team made a remarkable comeback to draw
3-3. The result however was enough to move VEC into second place in Division 3B.
